FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is a deposit required for all bookings?
Yes; for all bookings a deposit of £50 secures your event in our diary. During any initial enquiries we will place the date of your event in our diary as provisional, on the basis that a deposit is paid at least 2 weeks before the actual day of services.
When will final payment be required?
Final payment can be any time up to and including the day of the event but will be discussed and agreed with a representative of Don Robertson, in advance of confirming the booking. Any concerns over payment should be discussed as soon as possible.
What payment methods are available?
When paying your deposit or the balance of your booking we can accept Cheque, BACS or cash. We do not unfortunately at this time, accept Credit Card payments but watch this space, for this method becoming available.
Can we make song or theme requests?
Absolutely yes! Making requests is a key part of the process, and one that can guarantee the success of any event. Whether that is a list of "must play" songs before the event or specific requests on the night, we welcome any input that will help create the perfect atmosphere. Equally of course the flip side of that is important and often not considered; if there are any "please don't play" songs, then again just let us know.
How long does the Entertainer/DJ perform for?
As with any of the services we provide that make us the best option, we are flexible. A normal event is around 5 hours which includes any break for buffet, or additional entertainment. Any costs quoted to you will be based around this time and do not change, if the "performance" time is reduced. However any changes to this can be discussed and agreed, in advance of your event.
What will our Entertainer/DJ be wearing?
We firmly believe that an entertainer or DJ should be smartly dressed to create the right impression, from the very outset of your event. For standard and corporate mobile discos we ensure that the entertainer attending will be in either a suit, or at least formal short with a tie. For a wedding disco however our preference is a formal dinner suit, just to create the perfect touch to your special day.
